The 1990 and 1991 CR500Rs carried on with the 1989 engine and upside-down fork package, and differed mainly in their looks: red and white with blue CR logos for 1990, then a white frame with multicoloured tank lettering for 1991. These were among the last of the full-power versions before output was cut back from 1993.
